Notes -
1-Jamie Mac: JMac made me look bad last week with a frustrating finish. This week he has a fast car. He was strong on the long run in both practices on Saturday. Don't be shocked to see him finish top 10 on Sunday.
2-Brad Keselowski: Not exactly what I was expecting. Brad K should be considered a top 5 option , but didn't have the car to beat. Posted good lap times throughout a run. Brad will be a contender on Sunday.
3-Austin Dillon: AD like normal doesn't show his entire hand until raceday. Dillon showed promised in practice , so expect a finish from 17th - 24th. Dillon is most useful in limited useage leagues.
4-Kevin Harvick: Harvick was easily the car to beat. There wasn't a time this weekend he wasn't fast. Posted the fastest lap on Saturday opening practice. Followed that up with the second fastest lap in final practice. Also Harvick had the best ten lap average. What more impressive is most guys best ten lap average were posted within the first 10 laps on track. Harvick best ten lap average started on lap 16. That speaks volumes folks.
5-Kasey Kahne: Kahne was my sleeper pick earlier this week. And he haven't disappointed. Kahne qualified very well and have put down some very fast laps down on Saturday. Most noticeably posted the 3rd fastest single lap in final practice. So he definitely have top 10 potential , but can he deliver the finish?
10-Danica Patrick: Danica looked lost this weekend. Posted lap times outside the top 20 mostly. Doesn't looked anything close to earlier this season. There are better options to consider.
11-Denny Hamlin: Hamlin wasn't that good actually. Never really showed any kind of speed this weekend either until final practice. It even worse when you start deep in the field. He posted a strong 4th best ten lap average in final practice. In my opinion at best , DH an top 15 option.
14-Tony Stewart: Smoke looked good this weekend , but doesn't look to be top 10 based off practice. He should be a good option for leagues such as Yahoo. But is a bad value play in other leagues such as Fantasy Live which rewards for improving starting positions.
16-Greg Biffle: I am not buying what Biffle is selling. Qualified just outside the top 10. Based off practice , he was around 15th - 20th overall. Only post short runs in practice. So it hard to say how good his car is. Really just complicate his situation.
18-Kyle Busch: Let me be clear , he should be avoided in fantasy nascar without question. But he is a sneaky dark horse for Sunday race. KB will roll off from 7th and have shown speed all Weekend. Really the best Gibbs car in practice. He may need a little more speed to be a true contender on Sunday.
20-Matt Kenseth: Kenseth looked lost all weekend. Unless there some dramatic changes , MK could have a very long Sunday. He will start 27th and have shown very little speed in both practices on Saturday. I would probably try to avoid him if possible.
22-Joey Logano: JoLo been fast all weekend and have a top 5 car based off practice. Joey will roll off from 4th and posted the 4th best ten lap average. He doesn't have the car to beat , but he should make a fantastic option.
24-Jeff Gordon: Gordon to nobody surprise have a bad fast car on the long run. Gordon will start 5th and have posted some blistering fast laps on Saturday. Gordon had the 2nd best car at end of final practice. I don't see him winning back to back , unless something happens to Harvick's car.
27-Paul Menard: Menard not my first choice by any means , but I think he have potential to finish just inside the top 20. Anything else is a bonus. Menard may be worth taking a flier on , but it very unlikely he can muster anything better then 15th. I have him crossing the line at 19th. I am being kind compared to other experts rankings though.
31-Ryan Newman: Newman was very strong on Saturday. He posted some stout laps in both sessions. Ended final practice with the 4th fastest single lap. Also posted the 6th best ten lap average. Really showed great long run speed. I really like Newman for Sunday race.
42-Kyle Larson: Larson been good all weekend. Put down the fastest lap in final practice and had the 3rd best ten lap average. I wouldn't rule out a win for Larson on Sunday. This kid can race. Start him and enjoy the points.
48-Jimmie Johnson: Johnson have struggled all weekend. Started off with a bad qualifying effort. On Saturday , never looked quite right. Posted the 21st fastest lap in final practice. 17th in the earlier session. Also Johnson didn't post any long runs. Which makes it tougher to know what he actually has.
88-Dale Jr: Dale without question is a top 10 car , just a hair off from the top 5. Watch out for the 88 on Sunday. His long run speed was awesome. Ranked 2nd on the best ten lap average speed charts.
99-Carl Edwards: Edwards posted a lot of short runs on Saturday. So we know , Edwards have a good car for a few laps. But the big question is beyond those first few laps. Based on that unknown , i think there safer choices out there.
