Welcome to TimersSports
First off, man I need to be getting my Fantasy Nascar picks posted at start of the week instead of at the last minute. However, with fantasy football in full-wing my spare time is focused on doing fantasy football research for that. So in the future, I will be writing up my posts on Sunday evening and posting them on Monday. Anyways, let's dig into the Dover Picks!
Dover is an 1-mile racetrack nicknamed the ''Monster Mile''. It nicknamed that because of the diffcult of mastering of the racetrack itself. Not just anyone can consistently run well at the Monster Mile. A lot of the drivers in Sunday's field has found success. But majority haven't mastered it like guys such as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick. These guys know their way around this place and you should build your team from the ground up around them. Obviously there are some great value and sleeper plays this week as well. I am sure my fellow writer Garry Briggs will cover that this weekend in his sleeper post though. So I will leave the sleepers and other good stuff to him. Anyways, at Dover you want a strong lineup who starts near the front. Drivers have prievously won from outside of the top 15, but you can get lapped here easily. So if you fantasy pick starts further back, make sure they will move forward quickly. Or it could be a long weekend for you! Alright let's get into the picks!

A:
Start - Matt Kenseth (8)
Bench - Jimmie Johnson (6)
Reasons -Tough decisions as usual in A. It comes down to who I trust and who I don't. Johnson is the best driver at Dover, but he cannot be trusted at the moment. But if he cannot win this weekend, I don't know whatever I can say about him. Kenseth is my favorite play this week in A. He been running great lately and has 3 wins at Dover in his career. He won back at May and I wouldn't be shocked, if he swept the Dover races.
B:
Jamie Mac (6), Kasey Kahne (5)
Kyle Larson (1), Carl Edwards (2)
Reasons - This race I think will be unpredicable, so I am going with guys I know I won't need in the final couple races. The plan was to go with Larson and Kahne, but I am optioning out the Larson plan now. I will save him for Texas or Homestead. Instead I will go with his teammate in JMac and plan him with Kahne. However, If I had 2 or more starts with Larson then I would roll with him and hope for a top 5. He is more than capable of that. Same with Edwards. Even though, Edwards recent finishes here scary the heck out of me. No finish better than 11th over his past 5 races at this track. He should break that streak though.
C:
Start - Chase Elliott (3)
Bench - Jeff Gordon (3)
Reasons -This decision comes down to: Do I believe in Elliott more this weekend or at Martinsville in a couple weeks and I don't have much faith in him at Martinsville. Same can be said about Blaney. Gordon is a monster at Martinsville. Also, I believe Elliott is good enough to finish at least inside the top 10 this week. I am going with Elliott, I am okay with only having 2 left in the final 7 races.
Fantasy Live - 4,78,48,43 and 23
Reasons - I am going with Harvick and Truex to dominate the race up front, so hopefully they lead at least half of the race. If not more of it. Then Johnson will be insurance, in case something happens to one of them. So solid three drivers up front. Then let's focus on drivers who have a chance to move forward. I am not sure if I am crazy for listening to my fellow writer Garry Briggs or I am just as crazy as him, but I believe in Aric Almirola and have faith he will inside the top 20. The dude starts from 27th. Hard seeing him not netting a positional differential. Then I will end my lineup with Ragan, because he's cheap and won't lose too much for the price
Sleeper - Ricky Stenhouse Jr
Winner -Kevin Harvick
