Welcome to TimersSports
Well this has been a pretty tough season overall for the most part for my fantasy team, it just another reminder anything can happen in fantasy nascar. I remember starting the year out so well in all of my fantasy games and now I probably couldn't even get a good score in a 5-car field. Seriously it has been that bad, I am really to get this season over with and look forward to 2017. However, we still do have 3 races left. So, let's try to go out and save the reminding of the 2016 season.
As for Texas, I would target the favorites out of the Joe Gibbs and Hendrick Motorsports stables as they has dominated the 1.5 mile tracks this season and in the chase as well. Other teams such as Penske, Chip Ganassi Racing and RCR will make up rest of the top 10 and some of the top 15. At Texas, you can make passes so don't be worried about track position quite as much. The racing grooves here usually leads to solid passing throughout the race. In the spring, the race was dominated by Edwards and Truex Jr. It was during the night time hours though.
Yahoo -
A:
Start - Kyle Busch
Bench - Jimmie Johnson
Reasons -The Kyle Busch vs Jimmie Johnson debate probably has been a popular one between Yahoo fantasy players this weekend. It very tough to call, but I am leaning Kyle Busch over Jimmie Johnson honestly. I am just not feeling Johnson at Texas this weekend. Even though I am sure he will be fine, it seems like the JGR cars are much better, in my opinion.
B:
Start - Carl Edwards, Martin Truex Jr
Bench - Kyle Larson and Kasey Kahne
Reasons -The goal was to start Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne, but things didn't go as planned in qualifying. With Kahne qualifying in 31st place, that does us no good at all. I know you can pass here, but still do trust him from 31st? I don't. So I am going with the best two drivers in this tier of drivers of Edwards and Truex. The 78 car might have a winning-type car this weekend, too. Another reason, I am really liking him over the 5 car as well. And Larson is being saved for Homestead, as he doesn't look top 5 good.
C:
Start - Alex Bowman
Bench - Chase Elliott
Reasons - Well, I screwed up during the chase and didn't save enough Blaney and Elliott starts for the final couple races. Now, I will have to backtrack and get an Bowman start. So I am no doubt using Bowman this weekend. As I feel like I can use Blaney at Phoenix with ease and then employ my final Elliott start at Homestead.I am starting the 88 car this weekend!
