First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who checks out this site every week. I am always so amazed how many people check these posts out, even when I neglect to publish a link on social media. To me, that always tell you if you are doing a good job.
Secondly, I would like to note that there most likely won't be any posts next weekend as Jeff will be out of town and I will be working 8 hours on Saturday. It will be tough to find time. I will try to make a post mid-week with my picks and rankings going into the weekend, though.
Alright, let's get into today's picks!
DGG Picks -
A:
Starter - Kyle Busch
Bench - Joey Logano
Reasons - It's hard to go wrong with either pick, but I think most people will still go with Kyle. And with me going off-sequence in B and C, I want a safe pick in the top grouping tier!
B:
Starters - Jimmie Johnson and Ricky Stenhouse Jr
Bench - Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman
Reasons - There's a lot of good picks among the top picks like Blaney, Hamlin, Almirola, Jones, Bowyer, etc. This week, I planned to save those drivers I mentioned up above. I made my bed, so I may as well lay in it now. I am okay with the Johnson's pick, as he should be somewhere in the middle of those top B-lisr picks. Stenhouse Jr does worry me, as he wasn't super happy with his car. I am just banking that he will improve in the race.
C:
Starter - Ty Dillon
Bench - Ryan Preece
Reasons - I cannot say I love Dillon, but i think he's good enough to be a serviceable pick this week. Honestly, I was planning on using Preece but things just aren't going to work out, though.
Dark Horse - Ryan Blaney
Winner - Kyle Busch
