Fantasy Nascar RaceDay Thoughts (Dover)

Welcome to TimersSports

RaceDay Thoughts -

Jeff Nathans (@JeffNathans18):

- I expect most of the big name drivers to stay up front, since I don't see anyone coming through the field

- Kyle Busch ran more laps in racetrim this weekend in limited practice than anyone else. That have to mean something, right?

-Kevin Harvick is a great fantasy pick any week, but this week at Dover he might be even more valuable because he is so consistent with how fast he is. Also have dominated recent races at Dover

- Once the track get rubbed in on Sunday, you can expect the usual suspects to be up at the front

Garry Briggs (@Garryy12):

- I still really like Aric Almirola this week. My hopes were higher before qualifying got rained out. I love him even more in positional diff leagues though. He starts 27th and I think he finishes in the 20th-23rd range. Also wouldn't lose too many spots if he get involved in a wreck as well.

-I like the Gibbs car in today's race. I think Kenseth, Busch, Edwards, and Hamlin will be strong. Much like last week. Same goes for Truex. They all will be up there

-Expect Chase Elliott to have a strong run in today's race. I think this is one of better runs left this season imo

- Ricky Stenhouse Jr is legit sleeper for today. Looked good practice (probbaly doesn't mean much) and has always performed very well at Dover. 8th and 13th in 2 of past 3 starts at this place

Matt Aleza (@MattAleza):

- I am thinking we see a crazy race much like we saw back in May. So good luck putting together your lineup. It's a crapshoot really imo. Especially with all of the rain. Who knows who will good headed in. Least until the rubber comes in

- Outside of the top 10, I see one driver who has a chance to truly make any noise and that is Kyle Larson from 12th. Otherwise most of the contenders are already up front

-You watch to start up front here, because you can go down a lap in a hurry. You can lose multiple laps with a mistake at this track. 400 laps sounds like a lot, but it really isn't. This race goes by very quick.

-Go with your gut. If you gut says to start someone, then do it. If it tells you to bench someone, you best listen to it! A lot of times, that what separates the good fantasy players from the great ones
