NFL Predictions Week 10 (Part IV) -

49ers at Saints -

The 49ers are having a rough year and they coming off a complete embarrassment on TNF vs the Packers. I think most people expected that considering all the players that they were missing. And I wouldn't expect anything less in week 10 vs the Saints. The Packers are probably just slightly better than the Saints, but the difference isn't very much. The Siants, like the Packers, are very capable of putting up 30 points on the 49ers and this defnesive unit is actaully pretty good. Even with the injuries, they are still in top half of the league. But their lackluster offense will doom them and give them a very little chance to win this game. I have no faith in their offense. They put up just 55 rushing yards on TNF and running the ball is their strength typically.

The Saints blew out the Bucs on SNF and now the No.1 seed in the NFC. But they have Seattle and Green Bay (they lost to them already) hot on their tails. The Siants have to keep winning because soon as they do then they are probably jumping down to a wildcard seed again. The Saints are probably one of the best teams in this league right now overall and the return of Michael Thomas is huge for them. However, I don't think they are as good as the last two years. Still really good, but I don't get the same vibe that they are head and shoulders above everyone else. And that says a lot aobut the NFC as whole more than it does the Saints, in my opnion.

Prediction - I am going with the Saints in one, as I think the 49ers have a lot of things to overcome to win this game and I think it will be too much for them. Saints by 14 points in this one!

Ravens at Pats -

Heading into the season, I thought the Ravens would be the favorites in the AFC North. But I thought the Steelers would give them all kind of fits and maybe steal the divison away from them. Well it's week 10 and the Ravens are two games back. Not because the Ravens haven't played well because they are currently 6-2 and one of the league's best two. They are a first place team in most divisions right now. However, I think Lamar Jackson is coming back down to earth and teams has figured him out a little. He is still one of the league most entertaining players, though. On defense, I am not sure if they are good as last year's team, either. Still, this team will probably win between 11 and 14 games and have a great shot to make a deep postseason run!

The Pats are headed in the other direction for the most part and they will most likely have a top 10 draft pick when the season is over with. I think the Pats lost too many players for them to be any good in 2020. I think the loss of Brady was huge, but they also lost some other key players. I think the addition of Cam Newton was a good one. But he wasn't ever an elite player in this league. Sure he was awesome in 2015 and have had some good seasons, but he never top 5 good. His passing skills always been in questioned and in New Enagland you have to pass the football. I also think the injuries have really taken a toll on him, too.

Prediction - Give me the Ravens in this one. They have the advantage at pretty much every single position and should win this one pretty easily. The Pats aren't the same team that they were under Tom Brady!

Vikings at Bears -

I said very early in the season to someone, I thought the Vikings would eventually get it going and I believed that would have to start with making the gameplan around Davlin Cook. Well, the Vikings figured that out and now have won back-to-back games and could win three straight on Monday night! This Vikings' offense is too  talented for them to not be good. I think their defense is bad, but they are getting better as the season goes on. I thought this team would end up with between 6 and 8 wins and I say that very possible at this rate, honestly. They need to keep running the ball with Cook and let that open up the pass for them! You don't want the ball in the hands of Cousins on every play becase we all know what happens eventually!

The Bears will only go far as their defense wil take them and sure they can beat average teams out there with that bad offense. But their run game is non-existence lately and Nick Foles is doomed once the pressure get to him. That offensive line is also beat up. Looking down the road, I think they are in huge trouble with two games with Green Bay left. Heck, if they drop this game vs the Vikings, I think there should be major panic in Chicago. 3 games back in the division would be a huge hole to fall into. And with this offense? They will likely lose a couple more before the season is over. A lot will be hanging in the balance on Monday night!

Prediction - I have watched most Bears games this season (since I am in area for games) and that offense is just horrible. They even switching playcaller this week, but I don't think that will matter too much. Their run game still is lackluster and they don't really have any weapons on offense that isn't Allen Robinson. Some decent players, but none of them can change a game, though. The Vikings have multiple players that can change the course of a game. And that's the difference between these two teams. Sure, the Bears have a legit defense, but I don't know if that is enough. Wasn't vs the Saints or Titans. And that why I am picking the Vikings to pick up another big division win!
