Fanasy Nascar Picks (Chicagoland)

Welcome to TimersSports

Alright everyone, we are headed to Chicgoland this weekend for the first race of the chase. I have really looking forward to this chase as well. In my opinion, there is no clear-cut favorite. And speaking of the chase, how does it affect our fantasy options going forward? Hard to say honestly, it can vary from driver to driver. Example, let's say Matt Kenseth get eliminated in the first round (unlikely). He probably wouldn't get JGR's best equipment going forward. All of that stuff would go to his teammates. Compared to a driver like Jamie Mac. Let's say he get eliminated in the first round. He probably wasn't getting the best equipment available anyhow. It would go to Larson regardless. Like I said it will vary from driver to driver, depending on their situation. For now, all we can do is make our fantasy picks based on what we know from this season and from this track. Let's get started!

A -

Start - Kevin Harvick (4)

Bench - Kyle Busch (5)

Reasons - Kevin Harvick has been the best driver this weekend and have had by far the most speed out of everyone. He looks like the man to beat in both practices on Saturday. I thought Kyle got much better in final practice, but it is hard to bench the 4 for the 18. Even with him starting on the pole, I still like the 4 car more.

B -

Start- Martin Truex Jr (3), Kasey Kahne (7)

Bench - Carl Edwards (3), Jamie Mac (6)

Reasons - It is a bit of a tough week, because you want to go with your studs (78 and 19), but you don't want to use them up all at once. I only have 3 a piece, so I will have to choose one. I decided to go with Truex over Edwards. Truex has a top 5 car and Edwards is close, but 78 a bit quicker imo. So then it down to Kasey or Jamie. Easy choice there with Kasey looking much better than Jamie have so far.

C -

Start - Chase Elliott (4)

Bench - Ryan Blaney (4)

Reasons -Elliott over Blaney this week because well the 24 is obvious faster and starts further up. I think Elliott will be about an top 5 to top 10 contender when it comes down to it. Blaney I think will be about 3 to 5 position behind, basing it on the research and numbers I have came across. Of course that is just me guessing and estimating. Both should be good plays, I just think Elliott will be a better one.

Fantasy Live - 4,18,48,23 and 38

Sleeper - Chase Elliott

Winner - Kevin Harvick
