Fantasy Nascar Picks (Richmond)

Welcome to TimersSports

It has been a pretty long and crazy week for me, as I have traveled across the country from Los Angeles to Charlotte on Monday morning. To say the least, I haven't really had much time to think about fantasy picks or write much fantasy content at all. So I am not going to touch much on this introduction as I usually like to do. Instead, we are going to get straight into the picks.

Let's go!

Yahoo -

A:

Start - Kyle Busch (4)

Bench - Kevin Harvick (5)

Reasons - All week long the plan have been to roll with Kyle Busch over Kevin Harvick. Well guess what Harvick's qualifying effort made it even easier. Rowdy doesn't have much momentum, but has a lot other stuff going for him. Such as speed and a great track record. If you wanted to bet on someone to go to victory lane at Richmond, my money always would go to an driver with 7.0 career average finish.

B:

Start - Kyle Larson (2), Kasey Kahne (7)

Bench - Ryan Newman (2), Carl Edwards (3)

Reasons - I wish I would have put Jamie Mac on my fantasy team this week, as he looks to be least an top 10 to top 12 fantasy option. I didn't so, oh well I guess. His teammate Kyle Larson may even be a better option to roll with. He is coming off back-to-back top 3 finishes and qualified 2nd. Not to mention, I cannot ever recall him looking better at a short-flat track than he have at Richmond on Friday. Who to pair him with though? Great question. Edwards would have been the ideal option, but I don't see him being a 100-point fantasy option. So he's out of the running. Newman could make a great fantasy pick, but I have a feeling he will gamble to gain points on Jamie Mac. So let's come back to him. Kasey Kahne have had speed the past couple weeks and looked pretty good overall on Friday. And guess what? He starting towards the front too. Not a bad thing at all. Kasey is a risky pick, but if he gonna perform well in 2016, it will be on Saturday's night

C:

Start - Jeff Gordon (4)

Bench - Chase Elliott (4)

Reasons - Pretty easy choice here! Elliott qualified very poorly and struggled in both sessions on Friday. While Gordon has looked pretty comfortable! The plan been to use Gordon all week and I don't see any legit reason to change that approach now.
