Fantasy Nascar Picks

Welcome to Timerssports

Atlanta Recap: Well another crazy night race led to another solid outing across the board. For the second straight week , my gut paid off at the last second in Yahoo. My combo of Gordon , Menard , Newman and Larson led an 287 points night. Its was my 6 straight race with least 270 points. Menard wasn't a quality start , but still better then wasting an Penske start. Got a quality out of Newman (7th) and Larson (8th). Fantasy Live wasn't quite as good. Harvick dominated and finished 19th. Gordon finish 17th , but posted some fast laps in process. Logano contended for a win and finish 14th. Cassill and Mears were nice value deals.

Look ahead to Richmond: RIR is the final race before the chase. Like the last two races , expect craziness to be the main theme of the evening. In allocation leagues , using sleepers and value picks are most useful. And saving your studs in the process. I expect everyone to go all or nothing. Either to win into the chase. Or add additional bonus points.

Yahoo -
A:

Start - Matt Kenseth (6)

Bench - Jeff Gordon (2)

Reason: Gordon starts 2nd ,but I will bench him though. Kenseth logically seems to be the better the play here. Kenseth holds much lesser value then Gordon. Plus I believe Gordon don't score max points.

B:

Start - Jamie Mac (8) , Carl Edwards (4)

Bench - Brad Keselowski (4) , Greg Biffle (4)

Reason: Last time I used JMac , he led the most laps and finished 8th. Two weeks later , I hope for more of the same. Edwards starts 10th. Really need to use a start here with him. Not sure if I will find 4 tracks in the chase to use him. Keselowski starts 1st , but I rather save him for the 1.5 mile racetracks.

C:

Start - Danica Patrick (5)

Bench - Justin Alliager (6)

Reason: Folks I am taking a major risk here. Hopefully I don't regret it. Neither option seems legit though. Danica starts in the top 15, so I give it to her.

Fantasy Live - Gordon , Harvick , Kenseth , Annett and Mears

Dark Horse - Kurt Busch

Race Winner - Harvick
